CFW/Ad-Hoc Question?
Hey again, Dissidia forums. I've another question.
This time it's relating to the ad-hoc party stuff.
First of all, I'd like to know just what the ad-hoc party is? Something regarding playing online through a Ps3 I think? Do I need a direct connection, or does wireless (I have wireless) work?
Second of all, I know some people have custom firmware, and it might not be possible for them to do this, but I'd like to know, as some people I know do, but I don't know how they'd get to play with me online if I don't figure out what to do from here in the first place.

You need a wired connection for your PS3 because the wireless connection on it is going to be used up by the PSP.
And it does work even if your PSP has Chicken Flavored Water.

Check the tutorial on how to set it up.
Basically, Adhoc party takes your PSP's local adhoc signal and extends it through the internet. Therefore instead of being able to play with people right beside you, you can play with people right beside their PS3 instead. Unfortunately, your PS3 does need a wired connection to do this, otherwise the signal just isn't strong enough.
People with custom firmware can play with people with UMDs just fine. It's been done before, and continues to be done for people who don't have access to the game, or are lazy, or pirates, etc. As long as it's the same version of Dissidia (US, EU, JP, etc) you can connect.

US AND UR versions can connect to each other, but not US and JPN or UR and JPN.

Awesome. Thanks a bunch guys. I guess I won't expect to be doing this anytime soon, as my Ps3 is connected wirelessly and won't be wired.
I might be able to do this at a friend's house sometime though.

Heya new here. But does this work for US dissidia too? Asking if I can play dissidia online with others with the US version to be more specific
